When I first thought about writing on the topic of the most influential sales thought leaders on twitter- I thought that listing 20 would be more then enough to showcase the talent that’s out there in the sales profession. What I quickly realized was how wrong and limited my approach was, because in my research I found some of the most incredible thought leaders that everyone one should know about and have the choice to follow.
Moving forward my intention is to continue to expose to you the thought leaders in our line of work that bring tremendous value to startups, sales organizations and sales professionals. I’ll be changing the title of these segments to “Twitter Roundup” so be on the lookout!
For this post I wanted to focus on the amazing and incredible women who’ve impacted the world of sales. I was captivated and humbled by their accomplishments and it’s in honor to share these leaders with you here. Again, these are not listed in any particular order, each of them are incredible in their own right.
CEO and Founder of Reality Works, a sales strategy and implementation services firm that focuses on Sales 2.0 strategies to generate revenue for companies.
Anneke is a powerhouse and legend, just as Aaron Ross did for Salesforce, Anneke did for Oracle- she’s responsible for designing and building Oracle’s inside sales team – now a multi-billion dollar global sales organization. The most impressive thing about Anneke is that she created a new B2B sales process for Oracle in an era when no one thought you could sell complex products without an in person meeting.
President & Chief Strategist at The Bridge Group, Trish has tremendous knowledge and experience helping B2B technology companies build successful inside sales teams. She helps organizations make key decisions around implementation strategy, process, best practices, technologies and tools used to measure performance.
Over the last two decades, Trish has promoted Inside Sales as a community, profession and engine for revenue growth.
Trish has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Influential in Inside Sales by American Assoc. of Inside Sales Professionals the last 4 years as well as a Top 25 Sales Influencer by OpenView Labs the last 2 years, and Top 15 Professionals That Use Social Selling by InsideView and the list goes on.
A sales community where news of B2B women sales and marketing experts is shared. Founded by Jill Konrath the intention is to understand members challenges and help champion their successes, gain support for members upcoming business initiatives and increase each member’s network and make invaluable connections.
What also makes Sales SheBangs incredible are the members that are apart of this sisterhood. From founding member Jill, to Trish Bertuzzi, Lori Richardson, Anneke Seley, and others. It’s impressive to see the talent inside of this group.
Bridget has quite the track record for producing sales results and it’s a no brainer why our friends at Yesware would want her to be their Vice President of Sales. With over 20 years of sales experience in sales and management in the high tech industry and working for one of the hottest companies when it comes to sales tools she’s an exciting one to follow.
Lori has been named one of the top 25 sales influencers for 2012 and 2013 by OpenView Labs, so watch out for her continued trend through 2014. Lori was also named one of the 20 women to watch in sales lead management by the Sales Lead Management Association.
As an inside sales trainer for Score More Sales, and a speaker, writer on B2B frontline sales growth and sales influencer- Lori helps leaders of B2B companies solve problems within their sales team particularly around CRM, sales pipeline and strategic account planning.
Lori has a no BS approach, very practical and straight in her communication and great at engaging with her audience. So I would recommend you engage with her!
CEO and Chief Sales Officer at Jill Konrath- author of Snap Selling and founder of the Sales Shebangs group- Jill is one of the most amazing resources for sales knowledge, ideas and strategies to try on.
Jill is what I consider a true master of the sales process. She’s ongoingly learning, creating and consulting on effective strategies and ways to get into new accounts, creating opportunities, optimizing your sales cycles and closing contracts.
If you haven’t already, I would recommend you check out, join and participate in her Fresh Sales Strategies LinkedIn group.
What I love about Barbara is her focus on social selling. It’s not something everyone does well, so it’s refreshing to see someone who’s effective at it and who loves to share their thoughts and knowhow with the rest of us.
Barbara is the President and Social Selling Advisor at Social Centered Selling LLC. Her focus over the last decade has been to help their customers learn how to strategically use and incorporate social media into their sales process, breakup old selling habits and keeping their pipeline full with healthy, real prospects and moving those connections to close faster.
I’ve become a huge fan of Nancy- Nancy is an expert on sales productivity tools and strategies to drive revenue. As a huge geek of sales tools myself, Nancy feeds into my addiction for discovering new tools that can streamline a sales process and help close more deals effectively and efficiently.
Named One of 50 Top Sales and Marketing Influencers of 2012 and 2013, one of the top 25 Sales Influencer by Openviewpartners and listed as having one of top 25 Helpful Sales Blogs by HubSpot, Nancy is definitely one to follow.
Kendra is the Faculty Chair in Prospecting and Lead Generation for the highly respected Sales Training Institute. She’s masterful in prospecting techniques, new business development and working in mid level markets. As someone who also enjoys testing new techniques for effective prospecting I’m enjoying her thoughts on social media prospecting, email prospecting and calling.
Kendra is an award winning author of “Selling Against the Goal” and was also named one of the Top 50 Sales & Marketing Influencers for 2012 by Top Sales World.
What drew me to Colleen is the work that she does around sales and emotional intelligence, she actually has a book around the subject “Emotional Intelligence For Sales Success”- sometimes we forget that at the core of sales there are humans involved, so it’s refreshing to see a focus around this.
Colleen is the President at SalesLeaders, Inc. SalesLeadership integrates emotional intelligence skills with consultative selling skills. Their goal is to create emotionally intelligent sales teams that win business in any economy.
